Communicating Our Relationship with God to Others
This morning we had a pretty unique worship time, since some of the members of our worship team were gone on a retreat. Jacque inserted a sharing time for testimonies about what God had been doing in the lives of our folks. Murray passed a wireless mic around, so we could all hear. We are never formal, but it was a refreshing change in the rhythm of the worship.
As I sat and listened to the church family share one account after another of God's goodness, my heart was warmed. It validates everything the Bible says about how God cares for us on a personal level, and how He is involved in our lives. The attitude of thankfulness came from every speaker. They were thankful to God and to others for the love they had been shown. That is how a church family ought to be.
I hope we all will take every opportunity to share what God is doing in our lives, not just in church services, but at work, as well as everywhere we go. People need to know that Jesus is real, and they can know Him, too. It is not about religion, but relationship.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 63-65 and Romans 6.
