Trophies of His Grace

This morning in our worship service we had two events in the same service. We recognized our AWANA workers and the clubbers, the children, and then, we had a presentation from a ministry to needy ladies in Henry County called Shining Light Ministries. On the one hand, there were children who were being taught God's Word, so they would be able to know Christ and follow His will all of their lives, and on the other hand, there were testimonies of ladies who had found the Lord after horrible difficulties brought on by not knowing the Lord and not following His will. In the end God spoke to many hearts. I hope the people present made the connection between the two groups.

We are all trophies of the grace of God no matter how we come to know Jesus and have our sins forgiven. It is all because of Jesus that we can be forgiven and changed. Once we are changed, we are examples of how His power can transform a person. I pray that each of us have known that power, and we are allowing Jesus to shine through us. I pray that none of the AWANA clubbers will ever experience what those ladies have gone through. I, also, pray that anyone who is in bondage to Satan and to sin, will experience the deliverance these ladies have found in Christ.

Tomorrow, I intend to read I Kings 1-2 and Luke 19:28-48.
