Being Missionaries to Stockbridge
For over 2 years now, I have been challenging our church family to consider themselves missionaries to Stockbridge. We must be intentional about impacting the lives of people who would never come to a church. Therefore, we must do more than carry out ministry on the church campus. We must sow the Gospel in our community.
I believe the growth of our church will depend on us taking this challenge seriously. We do not need to think about ourselves competing with other churches. We need to go after people who are totally separated from church. We need to show them the love of Christ and share the Gospel with them. If we will do that, I am convinced, we will see a significant movement of God in our midst. If we carry on as usual, we will decline. The world has changed to the point that the vast majority of people will not think about going to church until they have been impacted by a Christian and the truth of Jesus.
Please, pray about what God would have you to do to accomplish His Great Commission where you live or where you work. It is not optional, if you are a follower of Jesus.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Genesis 46-48 and Matthew 13:1-30.
