God Sustains and Raises Up

We want things to go well all of the time. For most people that is their definition of happiness. When things go wrong, we have the tendency to think the worst. We worry and fret. Some people even think that God has left them, or He is angry with them. That usually is not the case, at all. We all fall down, and we all get defeated because life is hard, and our trials make us stronger when we trust the Lord through them. David had found this to be true. He knew the nature of God, so it helped him when these things happened. (Psalm 145:14) David realized that God sustains us when we fall. Also, He raises up all who get bowed down. This is not just what God does for some people. He does it for all people, whether they are believers or not.

The reality is that if God was not with all of us, we would not last any time in life. We would go crazy if He did not comfort us. We would fail physically, if He was not enabling our body to heal and be so resilient. However, most people do not believe in the Lord. They are fighting against God, instead of letting Him help them fully. He sustains them when they fall to show His love, and He raises them up to give them another chance. God does that many times for most of us. He does it because of His great love and mercy. He desires for us to know Him and to live the abundant life. He gives all of us every opportunity to do just that. It is up to us to respond to the Lord in thanksgiving and faith. When we realize that without His sustaining power, we would be incapable of living, we need to give Him thanks and trust Him more and more. That is the road to knowing the Lord better and having the best life possible.
