Fullness of Joy

There is such a huge difference between happiness and joy, but most people settle for mere happiness, instead of pursuing joy. There is also a huge difference between joy and the fullness of joy. When a person has the fullness of joy, they have so much joy that it flows from them to all of the people around them. David gave us a great insight into how we can go passed happiness and joy to the fullness of joy. (Psalm 16:11) It is easier than we might think.

God is ready to show all of us the path of life. He wants what is best for us, because He loves us. That is why He draws us to Himself. He wants us to know Him and to have a daily relationship with Him that is real and personal. When we trust Christ as our Lord and Savior, we enter that relationship with God. Then, our sins are forgiven. That makes it possible for us to enter His presence on a daily basis, as we pray and seek Him in His Word. Once we come into His presence there is fullness of joy. We realize we belong to Him, and God is our Father who watches over all that we do. That reality produces joy in our souls that overflows to those around us. In fact, when we allow God to be our strength, so that we walk at His right hand, we have pleasures forever that are much better than any earthly pleasures could ever be. I pray that fullness of joy will come to all of us on a daily basis, as we walk with the Lord, and we remain in His presence.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 17-19.
