Resurrection Power

This morning in our 5 AM Bible Study we started John 20 and the account of the resurrection of Jesus. I began by asking the 15 men who were there to tell me the significance of the resurrection of Jesus. They were very thoughtful as they explained how the resurrection validated Jesus as the Son of God. It showed His power over death and the grave. It was proof that what He had said was true. It showed us what our resurrection body will be like, too. There are so many aspects to the resurrection of Jesus. However, one thing stood out to me. I think it was Jas who reminded us that we, as believers, have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead available for us. What a truth! We have resurrection power to tackle the problems and struggles of life. There is nothing we can't do, if God has led us to do it, because He supplies the power of His Spirit for us to do His will. What is it that you need to do? Do you feel powerless? If you know Jesus as Lord and Savior, you have plenty of power. You just have to allow the Lord to lead you and empower you to do His will, not your will.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Jeremiah 32-33 and Hebrews 1.
