Obtain Mercy and Find Grace

I am sure that most of us have many problems that cause us much concern. If a person is a worrier, those problems can cause much anxiety. Even if a person is a mature Christian, it is impossible to handle those problems alone. God never meant for us to try to handle them by ourselves. He always wants to help.

My memory verse for today was Hebrews 4:16. It tells us to come boldly to God's throne with our prayers. After all we are His children, since we have come to know Christ. We are joint heirs with Christ. Therefore, once we come to the throne, we lay our needs and our problems before Him. This great verse assures us that He is ready to grant us mercy. You know mercy don't you? That is less punishment than we deserve when we sin. We all need that regularly. Then, it says we will find grace at His throne, too. This grace is to help us in our times of need. Grace is more than we deserve. It comes freely from God. He loves to pour it out on His obedient children.

Have you been to the throne today? Did you obtain that mercy and grace? If not, take some time right now, because God never sleeps, and He is always ready to talk with His children. Believe me, there is no need to worry when His mercy and grace is available to you.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Jeremiah 43-45 and Hebrews 5.
