Teaching God?
I know that I have been learning all of my life, and there is still so much that I don't know. My parents did a great job of teaching me the basics and making sure I learned from my teachers when I started school. I really appreciated my teachers so much that it made me want to be a teacher before I was called to preach. Teaching and learning are foundational to us as humans, but when it comes to God, does He need to be taught anything?
Job asked that question in a way to make us think about God and His position. (Job 21:22) He asked, "Can anyone teach God knowledge, since He judges those on high?" I think most of us know the answer to this question, but do we really live and pray according to what we know, or do we end up trying to teach God things as we converse with Him? I am afraid, we might be guilty of trying to teach God.
When we pray, do we find it necessary to explain our feelings and our situation to God? Do we think He is unaware of how we feel or what is in our hearts? I believe that we think if we explain things to God, He will be inclined to see it our way, instead of seeing it His way. Also, when we want to do things our way, sometimes, we explain to God why our way is best, and we ask Him to bless our way. Yeah, we are really trying to teach God when we do those things.
We need to keep in mind that God is the One who judges those on high. He created everything. He has all knowledge of everything, and He knows how all of the facts fit together into the whole. He rules the angels, people, the planets, the stars, and everything. It makes my head hurt to think of all that He is doing at any given moment. Since God is good, He can and does judge everything and everyone. He always does it well. He never needs our help.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 22-24.
