Conquerors

 Life is a series of battles. I am not talking about physical fights or wars, even though those happen at times. I am talking about all of the times that we have to fight against the obstacles and temptations that Satan throws against us. We will never overcome in our own power, but we will always conquer them when we trust in the Lord by faith.

The army of Judah found out this truth when they were attacked by the army of Israel which had twice as many men as they had. (II Chronicles 13:18) The sons of Israel were subdued at that time, and the sons of Judah conquered, because they trusted in the Lord, the God of their fathers. God is still giving the victory to those who trust in Him.

We lay the foundation for victory in life when we turn from our sins and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Our sins are forgiven, and we are adopted into the family of God. The Spirit comes into us to guide us and empower us to become more like Jesus every day. We set out on a life of faith, and we conquer like Judah did as we trust the Lord in everything.

Just like it says in Romans 8:31, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" When we trust in the Lord, He is for us. We become more than conquerors in Christ. (Romans 8:37) This passage makes it very clear that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, as we know Him and we trust Him. We live as conquerors through trusting Jesus every day.
