Departed with No One's Regret

What will people say when you die? How will it make them feel when you are gone? I know some of us don't like to think about that, but that day is coming. Our life on earth will come to an end. Then, we will have a Judgment time before the Lord and give an account of our life. Will we have done what He wanted us to accomplish in our life?

Jehoram was king of Judah after Jehoshaphat. He was an evil king, who led the people in the wrong way. (II Chronicles 21:20) He was thirty-six years old when he became king and he reigned in Jerusalem for eight years. Then, he departed with no one's regret, and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings. Will anyone regret that we are gone?

God has made each of us in His image, so He can have a relationship with us. That comes about when we trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Then, it is God's will for us to begin to live for the Lord and to become more like Jesus. As we do that, we will be a blessing to other people. We are to love them and serve them as Jesus would.

If we live like God wants us to live, our life will impact many other lives. When we are taken to be with the Lord, those people will miss us, because of the ways God used us in their lives. However, there are some people who die and no one misses them. There is no one who regrets their passing, because their life was not a blessing to others. Which way will it be for you?
