The Lord will Fight for You
Most of us don't like to fight. I am not just talking about having a fist fight with another person. I am referring to having any conflict with another person who comes against us to harm us in some way. We don't like fighting because we can get hurt in various ways. God doesn't want us to get hurt, either. He has a better way than us fighting against others.
He gave Israel a promise when they were about to enter the land of Canaan. (Deuteronomy 1:30) Moses told them that the Lord their God, who goes before them, would Himself fight for them, just as He did in Egypt before their eyes. This is still God's way to defend His people today.
The Christian life is a daily walk with the Lord. We talk with Him, and He talks with us, so we know what He would have us to do and how He would have us do it. Then, we live by faith. We do what He says, and we trust Him to guide us and empower us to do His will.
When we encounter enemies along the way, He will fight for us, as long as we continue to trust Him by doing what He says and saying what He directs us to say. He doesn't want us to have to fight others, but if it comes to that, He goes before us, and He will fight for us. That way, we know that we are doing what is best for us and for others. The key is living by faith every step of the way, not doing things our way.
