Impossible or Possible?

We are so often limited in our thinking when it comes to what is impossible and what is possible. We think of our own intellect or our own abilities, and then we make the determination. When we think like that, we rule out most of the best things that could happen in any situation. God doesn't want us to limit ourselves in that way.

Jesus tried earnestly to get this across to His disciples. (Matthew 19:26) He looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking it is impossible. But with God everything is possible." They should have known this after watching all of the miracles Jesus did. However, it is very difficult for us to get this truth into our heads and hearts.

Yes, there are things that are impossible for us, if we are thinking in human terms. However, for us, as believers, we should realize that we must not think only in human terms. After all, we have been changed by the power of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. We have a new life, and there is not explanation except the grace and power of God.

We need to extend this reality to all of the other situations of our life. We need to be thinking that if God could save me from my sins and change my life, He can do anything else that needs to be done in my life. We need to see things in divine terms, not human terms. Then, we need to trust the Lord to do the impossible as He sees fit.
