Flee Immorality !
We live in a world of immorality. All of us are subject to being immoral. It is a fact of life that our human nature, our flesh, is strongly tempted to do things that are immoral. This is true of sexual immorality, as well as all other immoral practices. It is the reality that the forbidden fruit looks sweet to us like it did to Eve in the garden. However, if we give in to the temptations of this immoral world, we sin and that sin harms us in many ways. This is particularly true of sexual immorality. That is why God commanded us to flee immorality. (I Corinthians 6:18) We can't fool around with it, we must get as far away from it as we can all of the time. When we commit sexual immorality, we sin against our own body, and the consequences are even worse than many other sins, because of that. Consider why this is reality.
There is a proper way to live and act. The proper way is the moral way. God established morality. It is absolute, and it never changes. The world today does not listen to God, and they do not care about what is moral or immoral. In fact, they are trying to declare the immoral things to be better than God's morality. The reason for this is that immorality brings temporary pleasure and or excitement. We can get hooked on that thrill we feel, so that we want more and more. We can be addicted to sexual immorality, whether it is pornography or physical acts. Then, we constantly are sinning against our body by doing the sinful things over and over using our body in a way that God never intended. For many people this so distorts their senses that even when they get married, and they try to have a satisfying relationship with their spouse, they are unable to do so. That is the consequence of sexual immorality, and it why we should flee from it. God designed sexual relations to be for a man and a woman totally committed to each other for life in marriage. It is God's way for them to grow closer in every way, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. That way marriage becomes the closest possible human relationship, and it is very fulfilling in so many ways.
