Completely True and Everlasting
The Word of God is simply amazing. Psalm 119 is the longest psalm, and it exalts the Word of God from its beginning to its end. When we read it, we are reminded of the importance of obeying God's ordinances and commands. If we fail to do that, we do it at our own peril. God's Word is there for us to learn and to apply in our lives every day. The great thing about it is that we can trust the entire inspired Word of God, the Bible, from cover to cover. (Psalm 119:160) As the psalmist said, "The sum of Your Word is truth." That is not all. It is forever true. God's righteous ordinances are everlasting. See what a valuable treasure we have in the Bible? Let's take advantage of God's Word every day.
God breathed His words into the men who wrote the Bible. He did not use them as robots, but His Spirit led them to write in their own language, using their own vocabulary, exactly what God wanted them to write. It was so miraculous for God to do this perfectly in the lives of over 40 men, but He did it. Now, we have His Word in 66 books, and the sum of them is truth. There is no error there. Then, as we step back and see that God did this over a 1,500 year period of time, yet the Bible presents a unified message from beginning to end, we see that it is everlasting. It is God's eternal message of truth, so it is absolutely true anytime and anywhere. Therefore, whatever truth we need to have for our lives is revealed to us by God in the Bible. That is why we need to live by every word that has proceeded from the mouth of God, from Genesis to Revelation.
