Now Live Christ

 Some believers are always learning more and more about Jesus and the Bible, but they are not doing it. They are not living Christ out in their everyday life. That is a tragedy! It is also an insult to Jesus who has done so much for us. Paul gave the believers at Colossae and us a very simple instruction, which is profound at the same time. (Colossians 2:6,7) Just go ahead with what you have been given. You received the Lord Jesus, now live Him. In fact, you are deeply rooted in Him, well constructed upon Him, and you know your way around the faith. Now, do what you've been taught. It's time for school to be out for a while, so you can concentrate on living out Christ, not just on studying about Him. As we do that we must let our living spill over into thanksgiving, as well, being thankful for all we have been given in Christ.

Think about what we have once we know Jesus as Lord and Savior. We have life, the abundant life. Now, it is time for us to live that life, not be stuck in defeat and despair. We have to live Christ daily for that to happen. We have been deeply rooted in Him, so we can't lose our salvation, so now we can live confidently in our security. We are well constructed upon Him as our Sure Foundation. We have the strength and stability to live for Him every day. In fact, we know so much about faith and what we believe. It is high time we make all of that learning our way of life. That step will radically change us, and we will have this living spill over into thankfulness, when we see the results of living Christ daily.
