Filled with God's Power
We, as believers, should never be lacking power to do God's will. We should not have highs and lows, because we have the opportunity to walk with the Lord, and to be filled with His power all of the time. If we will live like that, we will be ready to do whatever God sends us to do immediately. That is how the Christian life should be. The prophet, Micah, experienced that kind of readiness. (Micah 3:8) He proclaimed to the people of God that he was filled with God's power, filled with God's Spirit of justice and strength, so that he was ready to confront the crimes of Jacob and the sins of Israel. I wonder if we can say the same thing today?
When we have God's power, He doesn't just give us a little power. He fills us with His power, so we have more than enough for what will happen in our life. We have to cease trying to do things by ourselves and submit to God daily, asking Him to fill us with His power by His Spirit taking control of our life. Then, we are filled with God's Spirit of justice and strength. We know what is right and wrong, and we have the strength of God to resist what is wrong and do what is right. Then, when we meet people who are committing crimes and sins, we are equipped to confront them in love with the truth of God in a powerful, convincing way. Then, God can use us as a prophet and as an agent of reconciliation with Him. I pray we all will be filled with God's power today and every day.
