What God had in mind All Along
The Cross of Christ was not an afterthought when the human race fell into sin. God was prepared for sin, because He made us, and He knew we would choose to sin. However, He wanted us to love Him freely, so He had to give us a choice, so we could choose to love Him. In the process people sinned and needed to be forgiven of their sins. God had already designed His plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ, before He created the world. Isaiah told us this 800 years before Jesus came into the world as the God/Man. (Isaiah 53:10) God's heart was for all to have life and more life by trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior. He was not disappointed, because His plan prospered through Jesus. Let's examine what God had in mind all along.
God requires a blood offering to forgive sins. However, there was not an animal that could die for all sins. Only the blood of His Perfect Son, Jesus, could be an offering for our sins and forgive all of them at once. Therefore, God had to crush Jesus with pain, as He took our place and died for us. God's purpose was to set us free from the wages of sin, which is death. His plan provided life and more life to all who would trust Jesus. That life was abundant life with God's blessings. Jesus was successful in giving His life for our sins, so God's plan prospered through Him. Now, we who know Christ, have life because Jesus gave Himself for us. God's plan was perfect all along.
