His Servant
As we come to Isaiah 50, we read an extended passage about God's Servant. It is obvious these verses were prophecies about Jesus, His life and His death. (Isaiah 50:10) It should not surprise us that Jesus is referred to as "His Servant," but it might. We know Jesus as Savior and Lord. He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. Yes, Jesus is the Lamb of God. However, He has always been the Ultimate Servant of God. Wherever we see Jesus in the Bible, Old Testament or New Testament, He is doing the will of the Father. Even now, He is at the right hand of the Father waiting for the command to return to receive all believers up in the Rapture. We need to learn from this title for Jesus.
God is three-in-one, trinity, God, the Father, God, the Son, God the Holy Spirit. God has always existed as three persons in One God. The Father has always been the Head, and Jesus has always submitted to the Father. This does not mean that He is one bit less than the Father, just like a wife is equal to her husband, but has a different role. Jesus' role is the Servant. (Mark 10:45) If He had not submitted to the Father to come, live a sinless life, and die on the Cross for us, we would have no hope of salvation. Now, we are saved by turning from our sins, trusting Jesus as Savior, and submitting to Him as Lord. We are now to be like Jesus. We are to be servants of the Lord. We are to submit to the Father, follow the Son, and allow the Spirit to lead us. When we do that, we will fear the Lord, not people. We will walk in the light of the Lord, because we are fully leaning on our God.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 51-53.
