Blessed Be My Rock!

David was a warrior and a musician. He was a great commander, and he wrote many songs. He was not perfect by any means, but he always found a way to praise the Lord. I believe we can all learn from the songs of David by reflecting on their truths. (II Samuel 22:47,50) After all, God inspired them to be written for our instruction and edification. Let's learn all we can and grow all we can.

The Lord is alive! We serve the Living God. He is the only True and Living God. We need to shout that from the mountains, so all people will see the greatness of our God. God is our Rock. We are all weak, but He is rock solid, and He is strong for us. We need to stand on Him for everything, but He is especially the Rock of our salvation. Without the Lord Jesus we are all lost in the sinking sands of sin. He takes us out by His grace to set us on the Rock, which is secure forever. Therefore, we should be spreading our gratitude to God for all He has done for us in salvation and all He does for us every day. We should sing His praises in the congregation and as we go about our daily lives. Praise is a wonderful garment to wear everywhere we go. May we exalt the Exalted God in all we say and do.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 23-24 and I Kings 1-2.
