Is The Lord's Arm Weak?
This year we are focusing on the promises of the Bible as we read each day. There are many promises in God's Word. Some of them apply to specific people or groups of people, while many of them are God's promises to all of us all of the time. God gave Moses and the people a promise when the people complained about not having meat to eat in the wilderness. He told them that He would provide meat for a whole month. That was a huge promise, since there were about 2 million people. Even Moses had difficulty believing God's promise, so God asked him a question. (Numbers 11:23) We all need to hear what God said and reflect upon our faith in Him.
God asked Moses, "Is the Lord's arm weak?" Of course, the answer is no. He is the All-powerful Creator of the universe. God can do anything except the wrong thing. Moses had seen many miracles of God, so that we would think he would never doubt God, but he did. In this instance Moses failed to see how God could feed the entire nation meat for a whole month. God set him straight, and He will do the same for us, if we ever doubt His ability to fulfill His promises. God does not lie, and He is always faithful. He never makes a promise He cannot and will not keep. Please, do not doubt the strength of the Lord's hand. Believe in His might, and rest in His promises. It will change your life.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 12-15.
