Jesus Seated with the Father
After Jesus died and rose again, He ascended back to heaven where He is ever seated at the right hand of the Father, until He returns for His own. During this time, He is praying for all believers, interceding for us, and the Father is bringing all of His enemies under His feet as His footstool. Those are all facts shown us in the New Testament books. However, David foresaw that happening 1,000 years before Jesus was born, and he recorded it for all people to read. (Psalm 110:1) Just think of how amazing that was and how much that should prove to everyone about the Father and the Son.
David was an ordinary man, but the Holy Spirit inspired him to write many of the psalms in the book of Psalms. Some are simply praising God. Some are very personal pleas to the Lord for help. However, embedded in theses psalms are many reference to Jesus, His life, and His death, and what happened after that, including the Second Coming which has yet to happen. All of these things bear the fingerprints of God, and they show us that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, which is reliable in all it says. It is God's special revelation to us, so we can know Him and come to trust Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is also His way of giving us insights into all of life. Some have referred to the Bible, as Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. I would encourage all of us to read it, keeping those things in mind. It will greatly change your life, as you encounter God in its pages.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 111-114.
