Do Not Fear or be Dismayed
When Moses was about to die, God told him to write all of the words of the law for the sons of Israel to take into the land with the ark of the covenant. Also, God told him to commission Joshua to lead them into the land and to be victorious. He promised them victory if they would love and obey Him and never turn to idols. Therefore, Moses encouraged the people, giving them the reasons they should not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8) This is a message of encouragement for all believers, even today.
We can be assured that God goes ahead of us. We never get anywhere as we follow His leadership that He does not get there first, and He knows what is ahead of us. He is always with us, as we trust Him and love Him. God will never fail us, because He is the All-powerful Creator of all things. He will never forsake us, as His children. We can count on the Lord. That is why we never need to be afraid of what men can do to us, and we never need to be dismayed over any circumstance of life.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 32-34.
