Living By Grace Through Faith
Life is not about working hard to be accepted by God. We have all sinned, and we can't do anything to forgive our sins. Only Jesus, who died and rose again to pay for our sins once and for all, can forgive sins. Therefore, anyone who is saved is saved by grace. It is a free gift, which come to us from the Lord, once we put our faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. However, that is not the end of living by grace through faith. It is just the beginning. Paul told us very clearly that we are to "walk" or live, as we have received Christ. (Colossians 2:6) Therefore, it is important for us to continue in life by grace through faith.
Any day that we get up our life should be dependent upon the Lord, if we know Jesus. We should realize that we can't do what He wants us to do without His power. Therefore, we have to tell Him that we know that without Him we can do nothing, but we need to trust Him to show us what to do and to give us the power to do it. That is living or walking by grace through faith. He gives us the gift of knowing His will and doing His will, as we live by faith in Him, not in ourselves. Then, what we do is pleasing to Jesus, and He gets all the glory, since we did not do it in our power.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Colossians 3-4 and I Thessalonians 1.
