Our Protection From Satan
As believers, we do not need to fear Satan. He can't do anything to us that the Lord does not allow him to do. In fact, we are protected from him or kept from him. (John 17:15) We see this truth in the prayer of Jesus before He went to the cross for us.
We are in the world now, but we are not of the world. We belong to Jesus. We are left in the world after our salvation so we can be a witness to unbelievers. Then, they can know Christ as Lord, also. Jesus knew the power of Satan, and He knew that we needed protection, so He prayed for the Father to keep us from the evil one. He is still praying for us every day, seated at the right hand of the Father. Therefore, Satan is not going to hurt us, unless we let him. If we intentionally give Satan an opportunity to get to us by our intentional sins, that is our choice. As long as we trust the Lord and confess our sins, we will not ever be defeated by Satan
Tomorrow, I intend to read John 18-20.
