Let God Be Exalted
We should glorify God in all we say and do. We should exalt Him in our words and actions, so that people realize our God is alive, and He is the Rock of our salvation. (II Samuel 22:47) When David wrote his songs under the inspiration of the Spirit that is exactly what he commanded us to do.
We do not serve an idol. Our Lord lives! He is eternal. Our Lord Jesus Christ lives, because the grave could not hold Him. He is life. The Lord is our Rock. He is the foundation for all that is stable in our lives. We must give Him the credit due His name, and make sure that everyone knows that He is the Rock of our salvation.
Now that we have celebrated Christ's resurrection on Easter and we have read this verse from David, what will we do to exalt the Lord today. It is not enough to go to church on Sundays. We must be intentional about speaking up and showing people the Lord every day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 24 and I Kings 1-2.
