Spiritual Transformation
King David was not perfect, but he was forgiven. He failed at times, but God had set him upon a rock, his steps were established, and he had a new song of praise in his mouth. What a testimony for all to see and come to the Lord.(Psalm 40:2,3) Isn't that true for all believers?
Sin is a horrible pit with miry clay in the bottom. We sink deep into that clay with no possible way to free ourselves. When we cry out to God in repentance and faith in Jesus, He lifts us out by His gracious power and plants our feet upon Him, the Rock of Ages. Then, He establishes our steps by having a path for us to follow at His direction. He gives us a new song, not a tired old song, a song of praise to our God for delivering us. All of this is for His glory, so that many will see us and fear the Lord and trust Jesus as their own personal Lord and Savior. That is the story of every Christian. We need to be sharing our story all of the time and living it out every day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 43-45.
