We Will Not Fear
God does not want us to have a fear of what will happen to us. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.(Psalm 46:1,2) Therefore, why do we need to fear what will happen?
Fear is a sign of either a lack of knowledge or a lack of trust. If we know that God is always there to help us, and that He is our refuge into which we can run, then, we should not be afraid. However, if we do not trust in Him as we should, even though we know what the Bible says about God, then, we could have fear. We must cultivate our faith, so that our fear will disappear, and we can live life to the fullest.
Then, even if the earthquakes cause the earth to be removed, and the mountains to fall into the sea, we can be secure in the loving power of our Heavenly Father. We can trust that He is able to deal with whatever will come. One of the signs that we are living the abundant life is the absence of fear.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 49-51.
