The Rapid Advance of the Word of the Lord
I read of many areas of the world that are seeing the rapid advance of the Word of the Lord, but here in the USA the advance is very slow, or it may be retreating. This breaks my heart. Paul asked for the believers in Thessalonica to pray for him that the Word of the Lord would "run swiftly and be glorified" as he went sharing God's Word.(II Thessalonians 3:1) I would ask that we all make this our prayer for all who share God's Word in the USA and around the world.
This is happening in China where over 3,000 people are being saved each day. In Cuba there has been a great church planting movement of house churches and many people have come to the Lord. This is even happening in some Muslim people groups. We must pray for the rapid advance of the Word of the Lord in every corner of the world, because we see the Day of Christ's Coming drawing near, and billions still do not know Him. It is up to us to fulfill the Great Commission. It will only happen as we pray earnestly, and we see the Word of the Lord run swiftly and be glorified.
Tomorrow, I intend to read I Timothy 2-4.
