Perpetual Perfect Peace of Mind
Anxiety plagues many people. It is an epidemic. Yes, there are many dangers in life, and we live in a very dark world, but the world conditions described by Isaiah in this section of his prophecy are much worse than we have today. That is why Isaiah 26:3,4 is so remarkable. He is promising a continual condition of having perfect peace of mind in the worst of circumstances. How would you like that? It is entirely possible. It is a promise of God to those who trust Him.
Think about it this way. The Lord has everlasting strength that is far greater than anyone or anything else in the universe. He has revealed His strength to us in His Word and in our own personal lives. Now, if we will trust Him forever, we can have the perfect peace of mind of knowing that the Everlasting God is taking care of us. Why should we worry? Nothing can come close to us, except what He permits. If He permits it, He will aid us, so that we can be victorious. Once we are that trusting in His power, His perpetual perfect peace rests upon our minds. It is not based on circumstances, but on the love and power of God that is given to us.
I would say that is a strong reason for trusting the One True God, Yahweh, wouldn't you?
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 27-29
