God's Word, Pure and Preserved
It is not very good if some kind of food or medicine starts out pure, but the purity is lost in the process of being delivered to us. The same is true for the Word of God. That is why God has not only given us a pure Word, but He has preserved it for us, so that it is still pure today.(Psalm 12:6,7)
Many people have been told that the Bible is just myths or man's opinions. However, the truth is that the Bible is God's Word inspired by the Spirit so that men wrote down the pure words of God without mixture of error. Then, God has taken great pains to preserve His words as they have been passed down from generation to generation. One great proof of this purity and preservation has come from the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls. In short, they found that in 1,000 years of transmitting the words of God by hand and by printing press, there had been no changes that caused impurity in the words of God. This is a miracle! God knows that we must have the pure Word of God, like our pure milk and meat, to grow strong in Him and in the truth.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 15-18.
