Refreshing

We started a family Christmas tradition three years ago when Lori, Jeff, Kade, and Avenly were here for Stateside Assignment. We went to Stone Mountain's Christmas. It was wonderful, because we were able to celebrate Christmas with the family in a public place and have the true meaning of Christmas presented loud and clear. What a blessing!

Last year we went back, because Jacob was bigger, and we had such a good time the previous year. We were not disappointed. We rode the train, which Jacob loves, and we heard the presentation of "The Gift" about half-way through the train ride around the mountain. Basically, it is a gospel presentation, complete with proclaiming Jesus as the Savior who redeems us from our sins.

We had a great time today, even with the rain. People treated us well. We enjoyed the shows and a nice meal together. The lights are beautiful. It is a very refreshing way to spend some family time at Christmas. I would recommend it to you.

Tomorrow, I intend to read I John 5, II John, and III John.
