Creation Worldview Versus Evolution Worldview
We got off to a very good start on our Creation Worldview Conference with Dr Grady McMurtry today. If you missed it, you missed a great blessing, and I hope you will join us at least once before we close out on Wednesday evening.
I thought one point Dr McMurtry made in his message on foundations was especially relevant for our culture in America. The people who have an Evolution Worldview do not have a belief in absolute truth. Therefore, they can choose to do whatever seems best for them. This causes chaos in societies and in families, because it leads to no unity of belief and purpose. On the other hand, people who have a Creation Worldview realize there is an All-Powerful Creator, who is the Authority in the universe, and He has given us an "owner's manual" for life. It is called the Bible. Therefore, we do not do what we want, we follow the Creator's design and instructions. This leads to unity of belief and purpose.
Therefore, it is vital for us to understand our worldview. If we have the wrong worldview, we will come to the wrong conclusions about many things. Since it is fairly easy to see that the universe did not arise from nothing by random chance, we are pointed directly to a Creator, and that Creator has revealed Himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ. We need to surrender to Him as Lord and follow the owner's manual for the optimum life here and for eternity.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Hosea 1-3.
