The Fruit of the Spirit
What a blessing God gives to us by producing in us the fruit of the Spirit! (Galatians 5:22-23)Of course, the amount of this fruit grows as we walk in the Spirit over a long period of time. At this point in my life I can't imagine living without love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Life is totally different when this fruit is filling our hearts.
The opposite is true for those who don't have the fruit of the Spirit. It is miserable to live under the works of the flesh. (Galatians 5:19-21) Life is so chaotic and depressing. That is how Satan wants it to be.
I pray that all of us will realize the abundant life that Jesus wants for us by living in the fruit of the Spirit each day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 17-19 and Mark 6:30-56.
