Peace from God
The world is in turmoil right now. The financial crisis has the world worried about a depression. The terrorist situation has the world worried about the possibility of a nuclear blast. The political situation in the US has many people wondering what will happen to our country after the election this Tuesday. On top of all of that people are very concerned about their personal finances, their family relationships, and the marriage relationships. All in all, there is an absence of peace. What will it take to bring peace to our lives and to our world?
It won't come through more money or a better military. It won't come from a political leader, either. Many people are looking to one or all of those things for peace, but it won't happen that way. The only source for real peace is Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. He came into the world to bring us peace on a personal level by knowing Him. Without Him, no one will have lasting peace.
What about you? If we have a depression, and a nuclear bomb goes off in America that kills millions of people, will you have peace? If a political leader takes over who is opposed to all you believe, will you have peace? If you know Jesus, you can have peace no matter what happens in your life. I pray that you already have that peace and that you will live in it each day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Jeremiah 27-29 and Titus 3.
