Vacation Bible School
Each summer I am amazed at what God is able to accomplish through Vacation Bible School. It is a tribute to His power and to His ability to work through all types of people to touch people for Christ. This year is no different.
I am so thankful for Donna McMichen and Wendy Leslie. They do a great job as our co-directors. They work hard, and they compliment each other very well. Both of them have their own children to raise, but they are willing to help us reach many children for Jesus. Then, as I look at all of the teachers and other workers, I see how God has brought a diverse group to work with these children. Each one of them will receive a blessing for taking time with the children. Of course, the children receive the greatest blessing. Many of them get to learn the Bible and the Gospel for the first time in their lives. What a mission field.
In a day and time when there are so many influences on children to take them away from the Lord and the church, we need to be diligent to do all we can to lead them to the Lord. VBS is just one of those ways, but it is a very important part of the process. I can't wait to see what the Lord does this week. Please, join me in praying for our VBS and all of the Vacation Bible Schools, which are trying to reach the children of America for the Lord Jesus.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 1-2 and Acts 7:22-43.
