Remembered by the Lord
It is easy to forget things, isn't it? We can forget to do things we are supposed to do. We can forget people who need us to help them in some way. Sometimes we forget to call someone at the right time or to pick them up for a meeting. It is terrible to be the one who forgets, and it is even worse to be the one who is forgotten.
The great truth from God's Word is that God always remembers His children when we have a need. He made this clear to Moses and the children of Israel in the wilderness. (Numbers 10:9) God told them that when they went to war against the enemies who oppressed them, they should sound an alarm with the trumpets, and they would be remembered before the Lord their God, and they would be saved from their enemies. What a comfort this ought to be for all of us.
We might think that God is unaware of our needs and our situation, but He is very aware of what we are going through. We could be afraid that God will forget us in a time of great need. However, that is not the case. All we have to do is to sound the alarm by calling out to God in prayer. He will hear our cry and come to our rescue. God doesn't forget, and He knows just what to do to give us the victory.
Also, no matter what enemy we might face, God is more powerful, and He is more wise than any enemy. The key to victory is that we have to trust the Lord to be able to defeat our enemies, and we have to reach out to Him in faith. That was he purpose of the trumpets for the children of Israel. They never went to battle on their own. They called on God before they did anything, and He remembered to come to their aid.
