Your Word is Completely Pure
When we go to the store, we see a lot of products that claim to be "pure." That means that they are not mixed with anything else besides what we are buying. In other words, there is nothing there that will harm us. What we are getting is 100% what we need. I am always glad to see the word pure, and I hope the people who made the claim are telling the truth. However, there is one thing that is completely pure, and I know I can trust the One who has produced it. (Psalm 119:140) The Word of God is completely pure. Because of this purity, the servant of the Lord loves the Word. I pray that we will be assured of these truths, because it will help us become strong in the Lord by digesting His Word and meditating upon it daily.
Everything we need to live the Christian life is contained in God's Word. (II Timothy 3:16-17) It has all the commands and spiritual principles that we need to know. Then, when we learn them, the Spirit empowers us to live them out, as we walk in the Spirit day by day. The Word of God is pure truth. There are no errors in it. The Word is completely pure, so every word is given by God for our instruction and edification. Just think about that. All the information we need for salvation and living the Christian life is in one place, and it is completely pure. When we know Jesus as Lord and Savior, and we understand this truth, we will love God's Word. We will spend time reading it. We will study it and memorize it. It will be dear to our heart because we see how helpful it is. We will love it because we know it will never lead us in the wrong way. So, I have 2 questions for us: "Do you believe the Word of God is completely pure? Do you love the pure Word of God?" If we can answer both of those questions in the affirmative, and we consume His Word with joy, our lives will be so much more fulfilled and used by God.
