My Redeemer Lives !

Jesus is alive! He has always been alive, except for His brief death on the Cross, when He paid for our sins. Now, He has risen from the dead, and He is alive forevermore. I pray that we all know that Jesus is Lord, and He became our Redeemer when He paid for our sins by His blood and His death. Now, we are waiting for Him to return to this earth and walk on it for a second time. One day, we will all see Jesus face to face. Those who have eternal life, will see Him and live with Him forever. Those who rejected Him will see Him in Judgement and then depart from Him forever. It is amazing to think that Job, the first book recorded for the Word of God about 2,000 years before Jesus came to earth, shares this insight into Jesus. (Job 19:25,26) Even Job knew that His Redeemer was alive and coming to the earth. He was assured that when his skin was destroyed, he would see God in heaven. That was his hope, and it got him through his suffering. It will do the same for us today.

Our redemption cost Jesus His blood and His life. It cost Him everything, but God gives it to us as a free gift when we turn from our sins and trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus had to leave His throne in heaven to come to the earth and become a man, so He would have blood to pay for our sins, and so He could die for us. He never ceased being God, but He took on humanity for us, because of His great love and His desire that all people be saved. The Father raised Jesus from the grave to prove that He was Lord and Savior. Now, He is ascended back to heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father, waiting for the time of His return. When we die or we meet Him in the clouds, we will see Him face to face and behold His full glory. That is our glorious hope. It should sustain us through every trial of life, as we keep our eyes on our Redeemer.
