The Most Faithful Ever
I wonder who was the most faithful believer ever to live on this earth? I am not sure we will ever know, but we might find out in heaven. That would be quite an honor to have the Lord bestow that on us, wouldn't it? I am not talking about that in a prideful way, but in the way that it would show that person's full dependence on God. Josiah was declared by God to be the most faithful king of God's people. (II Kings 23:25) That was quite an honor for the one who became the king as a child. However, God's Word is very clear about this. We all need to see how Josiah came to receive this position, so we can strive to attain it in our lives today.
Faithfulness is trusting the Lord. In order to trust the Lord we have to turn from our way of doing things to God's way. We have to turn from our sins and trust Jesus to forgive them, since He is the only one who can. When we turn to the Lord, we must do it with all of our heart, the person we are on the inside. We must turn to Jesus with all of our soul, our mind, will, and emotions. Finally, we must turn to the Lord with all our might or our determination. When we do those three things, we are fully dependent on the Lord with every fiber of our being. That leads us to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, not our own. Then, we could be seen by God as being the most faithful believer to ever live. That should be the goal of each of us, as believers.
