The One Who takes Care of Your Sins
Many people do not have a very good concept of sin. They make up their own definition, so they can justify many of the things they like to do. That might work if there was no God, as the world says, but it never works since God is alive and well. God established right and wrong, good and bad. Whenever we do or say anything that goes against His standard, it is a sin, whether we meant to sin or not. Therefore, every one of us has sinned many times. The great news is that God is the One who takes care of our sins, if we allow Him to do so. (Isaiah 43:25) He will not force us to turn from our sins and trust Christ as our Lord and Savior, but if we do, He takes care of our sins, and He never even keeps a list of them. What a great deal.
Just think of this reality. A Perfect God loves us, all sinful people, so much that He sent His Son to die and rise again to take care of the sin debt we owe. It was only His blood that would pay that debt, but He had to shed His blood on a cruel cross for it to be effective. That way, He could take our punishment for our sins, and He could receive all of God's righteous anger against those sins. When we turn from our sins and trust Jesus alone as Lord and Savior, He forgives our sins and throws them away, not even keeping a list. We are free from our sins, and we are adopted into His family. That is truly amazing grace at its best. I pray all of us will avail ourselves of this grace before it is eternally too late.
