Where is the Word of God?
It is getting harder and harder to hear the pure Word of God here in America. The public schools have done their best to take it out of our schools. Many colleges preach against the Bible. There are law suits all of the time which focus on taking the 10 Commandments and the rest of the Word of God out of the public view. It is even getting harder to find churches that stick to preaching and teaching the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It seems we are getting closer and closer to a time in our history that is like what Amos said was coming for Israel. (Amos 8:11,12) It is a very serious situation in our country. We seem to have a famine for the Word of God.
God's Word is our food to guide us to grow spiritually as we should. When people do not get regular nourishment from the Bible, they get weak spiritually until their lives are rendered ineffective for the Lord. The Bible is the water to quench our spiritual thirst. Without the Word of God we dry up. The Word of God is also our light, so that we can know what to do and how to do it. If we fail to know and do the Word of God, we get lost in the darkness of this world system. In other words, the Bible is essential to spiritual life, health, and growth. I want to urge all of us to pray that God would pour out His Word in an abundance on our land. We need it so badly!
