God Directs Whomever He Wants
What has God directed you to do? God is good at directing people to do His will, just like He directed King Cyrus of Persia. (II Chronicles 36:23) If He can direct a pagan King to know and do specific things, He can and will do that for all of us.
God showed Cyrus that He had given him all the kingdoms of this world. Isn't that amazing? A pagan King realized the sovereignty of God over the kingdoms of this earth. In fact, He knew that they were God's to give away, and He had given them to Cyrus at that time. Then, he knew that God had charged him to build God a house in Jerusalem. A pagan King being given the command to make sure God's house was built is incredible, but true. Finally, he knew that God wanted him to let the people of God return to build His house, and that they needed Him to be with them in the process. I would say that is definite, specific communication from God to a pagan King. What would you say?
Therefore, it goes without saying that God directs everyone. He especially communicates with His children to show us His will. That is what we will be judged upon when we stand before Him, so we better listen and obey.
