Finding God
God is not hiding. He wants everyone to find Him. Why then do so many people have problems finding God? I think there is a huge factor we overlook. Moses told the people how they could find God any time.(Deuteronomy 4:29) We need to hear this verse and tell others this insight.
God reveals Himself to all of us, so we know He exists, and He is near to us.(Romans 1:18-20; John 1:9) However, when it comes to finding God, we have to show Him that we really want to find Him, so that we can know Him and serve Him as Lord. God can see our hearts. He knows if we are seeking Him halfheartedly. He knows if we are serious about knowing Him. If we seek Him with all of our heart and all of our soul, we will always find Him. He will make sure of that.
Therefore, the key to finding God is not found with God, but with us. Are you willing to seek Him with all of your heart and soul? If you will engage your mind, will, and emotions to find God and to know Him, you will find Him, and it will be the most glorious discovery you will ever make.
