Can You Walk With The Lord?
You might think that I am asking a dumb question when I ask, "Can you walk with the Lord?" I know everyone has a chance to walk with the Lord, but there are some conditions. First of all, we must know Jesus as our Lord and Savior before we can walk with Him. Being a believer is all about having a personal relationship with Jesus in which He talks with us, and we talk with Him, so we can grow closer together. However, that does not ensure that we can walk with Him the rest of our lives. Amos gives us one more very important factor.(Amos 3:3) We must agree with the Lord to be able to walk with Him.
When we talk about walking with someone, we mean that we have a unity, and we can cooperate on things. With another human being sometimes there is give and take or compromise to be able to walk together. However, with the Lord it is all His way, or we do not walk with Him. He is not obligated to follow us around or walk with us. We must decide to follow the Lord, and when we fully agree with Him and His Word, then, the two of us can walk together through life. See what I mean?
So I ask it again, "Can you walk with the Lord?" Will you decide once and for all that whatever He says is true and right, so you will agree with Him no matter what you think? If you will do that, then you can walk with the Lord.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Amos 4-6.
