What A Name!
Jesus. People love Him or hate Him. The name of Jesus brings praises or curses. It is the most powerful name in the universe. It is the name God chose when He came to earth to reveal Himself to us fully. It reveals His heart for us. He desires for us to be saved from our sins and to have a close, personal relationship with Him.(Matthew 1:21) His name says it once and for all - YHWH is Salvation - God saves. However, you translate it, the meaning is clear. Without Him we are lost, and we have no hope.
Some people reject Jesus as God/Man. They want to make Him a prophet or a teacher. They are not reading what He said. Of course, they do not even believe His Word, the Bible. They do not want to be saved. They do not think they need saving. They think everything is fine. All they need to do is to please themselves and then be put in the ground or cremated. They just want all of that spiritual stuff and sin to go ahead, because it cramps their style. However, that is not possible, because Jesus really lived. He really came from heaven to purchase our salvation. He will not leave us alone, because He loves us.
Therefore, each of us has to decide what we will do with Jesus. It is up to you. Your rejection or acceptance of Him determines your life and your destiny. Please, consider the name of Jesus. Receive His salvation and experience His abundant life forever.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Matthew 3-6.
