Bringing Delight to God
God truly cares about having a personal relationship with us. In fact, He delights in those who understand and know Him to be a loving, righteous God.(Jeremiah 9:23,24) What could be more meaningful in life than to know the Lord?
Each day we hear about people who are promoting themselves as being wise, powerful, or rich. If we are proud of our accomplishments, we could miss the greatest accomplishment in life, knowing the Lord. Please, don't let that happen. Don't be self-centered. You did not create this universe. You are not all powerful. You do not own it all. The One who is truly wise, powerful, and rich wants to have a relationship with you. Stop and listen to Him.
He delights in those who listen and respond to Him, as Lord of their lives. He delights in those who give Him the glory He deserves, instead of promoting themselves. What is the greatest accomplishment in life? I think knowing the Lord and bringing a smile to the face of God is right up there at the top.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Jeremiah 10-12.
