Read and Decide
Are you undecided about Jesus being the Lord of all who came to earth to become the God/man, so He could die for our sins and rise again to provide life for all who would trust Him? If so, read the gospel of John. It was written to show you exactly who Jesus is.(John 20:30,31) Someone might complain that if John admits this is his reason for writing this book that he was biased and did not give the truth. Actually, the opposite is true. The Holy Spirit inspired John to write it this way, because he was an eye witness of these things. He was the perfect one to present the case for Jesus being the Christ, the Son of God.
I have found that many people do not believe in Jesus, but they have never read the Bible. It is like they are afraid of the facts. They are afraid they will be convinced, and their lives will change. They do not want change. They like things their way. Therefore, they reject Jesus without even knowing the truth. That is not very smart, is it?
I want to challenge everyone who is still unsure about Jesus to take time to read the gospel of John. It is only 21 chapters. Just read a little each day, and think about it. Ask God to show you the truth. I believe you will be amazed at how the Lord will use His Word to show you Jesus. Then, if I can help you, let me know. I will answer questions or pray with you about things that come up. Don't go into eternity without looking at all of the evidence that Jesus is Lord.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Acts 1-3.
