Only God Could Have Done It
There is one way to influence the unbelievers around us. It is to show them things that can only be explained by the power of God. Whatever we do in human power is not credible, because anyone could do those things. What we need is to be so close to the Lord and to be trusting Him for His will to be done so much that we see miracles. That is what happened in Nehemiah's day and all through the Bible. It has continued throughout history.
When the people around Jerusalem saw the rebuilt walls, they knew it was the work of God.(Nehemiah 6:16) There was no way the Israelites could have done that on their own. Therefore, even the idol worshipers had to give credit to God. That is what we need today. Let's pray for God to show Himself in and through us, so that others will see His unmistakable power at work and be drawn to Him.
