"Has The Lord's Arm Been Shortened?"
Why do we doubt God's ability to do what He says He will do? I suppose it is our limited human intellect and ability that causes us to think that if we can't conceive of God being able to do something, He can't do it. How wrong we are!
I like the old saying, "If God says it, that settles it." At first the saying was, "If God says it, I believe it, and that settles it." However, it doesn't matter if we believe it or not, God will always do what He says He will do.
Even Moses allowed himself to give in to doubt when God told him that He would give meat to the children of Israel in the wilderness. He could not conceive of a way to provide that much meat for 2 million people. The Lord showed Him. He fed them enough quail that it lasted 30 days, not just one meal. No, God's arm is not shortened. He will do what He says will happen.(Numbers 11:23)
The same is true to this day. If God has told you something directly or in the Bible, you can take it to the bank. It is a sure thing. God never fails. It is so good to have an All-Powerful God who is completely trustworthy. I pray that we will understand His power and faithfulness, so we can cease doubting Him.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 12-14.
