The Fruit of Righteousness
This evening in our Mind of Christ study we talked about the fruit of righteousness. It is the result of living in a right way toward God and toward other people. The fruit is precious. It leads to peace and to a tree of life. It leads to others coming to know Christ as Lord and Savior.
Think about the times of your life that you have sown righteousness. Think of the results. You had a clear conscience and a good relationship with other people. Then, think about the times you sowed unrighteousness. You lived in guilt and fear and broken relationships, even though you may have had a little temporary earthly pleasure. Unrighteousness is just not worth it. The price is too high.
Let's set our minds on living in God's way toward Him and others and see what happens. I know He will give us good fruit for that righteousness.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Chronicles 30-31 and John 18:1-18.
